The 86th Communications Group located on Ramstein Air Base, Germany recently awarded the Communications Extended Services Contract (CESC) to Atlantic CommTech Corporation. The CESC is a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with an estimated value of $2.5 million.
Upon notification of contract award Atlantic CommTech president, Mr.
Kelly Thorp stated, “This award represents a strategic win for Atlantic
CommTech. We have worked with this
customer for the past two years primarily through our GSA contract and I believe
that we were selected as a direct result of our outstanding performance
record”. According to technical
representative MSgt. Roger Barnett, “this contract is a “first” for the 86th
CG and, quite possibly, a first for USAFE.
The CESC scope of work encompasses all aspects of communications and
information systems engineering and installation (E&I) services.
The geographic coverage mirrors that of the 86th CG area of
responsibility. The award of this
contract will allow the 86th CG to better serve customers with the support of a
single contractor with standard pricing and the implementation of proactive
quality control processes and procedures”.
Atlantic CommTech Corporation is a small business with its headquarters
