UPS/Power Technician III

 

Candidate must have a minimum of ten (10) years of "hands on" work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of power systems or equipment.  Candidate must also have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.

 

Specialized Experience:   Candidates are to be considered experts in the field and must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the following areas:

 

Experience as an electrician being familiar with the National Electric Code (NEC)

- Knowledgeable on proper grounding, safety standards, and NEC compliance

- Experience performing maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical power generation, distribution, and transformation

- Experience working with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Transformers, and Generators

 

Preferred Experience:

- Experience with Eaton/Powerware UPS Equipment

- Experience with Heating/Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

- Experience with both 50 and 60 Hz Power Systems and Equipment

 

Education Requirements (must meet one of the following):

- Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

- Completion of formal resident trade school or apprentice program in electronics

- Completion of at least three (3) U.S. Military schools in electronic communications equipment or systems, and Grade E-7 or equivalent

 

*This position is located in Southwest Asia.  We are providing direct support to the U.S. military. 

The successful candidate  must be able to obtain a secret security clearance and complete pre-deployment screening.
